Culture Policy
Croatia’s culture policy is based on the principle of national cohesion. Above all, the freedom of creativity is supported through the cooperation with NGOs, expanded by decentralisation, all of which became the basis of an independent culture sector. With a foundation for the development of the independent culture sector, the Croatian education policy is dedicated to the protection of cultural heritage.
Education Policy
Since Croatia became independent in 1991, the Croatian school and education system has been restructured several times, to adjust it to European standards and guarantee the equality of opportunity in the job market. In this regard, some reforms have been implemented in order to improve the education system. The EU met this with a positive response.
