General Information – Palacký University Olomouc

Medicine: The medicine degree at the Palacký University Olomouc lasts 6 years (12 semesters). During the first semesters of the degree, the teaching is mainly focused on theoretical principles. Then, the preclinical and the clinical parts will take place. As these parts of the degree are very practice-oriented, you will spend most of your time at the hospital during this period, where you will gather your first practical experiences. The medical degree at the Palacký University Olomouc is completed in the sixth year, with the state exams concerning internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, as well as preventive medicine. The duration of studies is therefore 6 years.

Dentistry: The dentistry degree in English at the Palacký University Olomouc is offered since 2010. Ever since, the internationalization of the degree has never stopped. Also in the field of dentistry there is a theoretical and a practical part, although this course of studies lasts only five years.
